8 to 11 June St Kitts Criminal Justice Mediation Training for the FCO, St Kitts Government and UNDP on location in Basseterre.  Following on from the Society's work in South Africa, the specialist Restorative Justice faculty have been invited to train 36 members of the community to better creat cohesive and integrated mediation solutions to criminal interactions.  Definign work at the heart of the Society's global remit.

The course develops fluency in techniques such as reality testing and reframing as well as the use of reflective language and active listening.  Delegates are encouraged to consider their own practice and identify areas in which they might make improvements, including how they might best support inclusivity and avoid the potential for unconscious bias within their mediations.  The course is for those who can demonstrate mediation experience and commitment, who want to contribute to the Free Mediation Service, and in due course have ambitions to join the Faculty.   It is available on application to [email protected] at £426 for the day.
